Chusonji Temple

Chusonji (中尊寺) is a Buddhist temple located on Mount Hiraizumi in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. It is a Tendai Buddhist temple and was originally established in 850 by the monk Jikaku Daishi Ennin. Chusonji is considered one of the most important and historically significant temples in the country.
